Hamlin may not have won the race, but he turned heads with this epic strike.
NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin recreated Morgan Wallen’s viral “Broadway Girls” walkout before Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway and got a little help from some country singers along the way.
In the clip posted to Instagram and TikTok, Hamlin heads from his spacious bunk bed on his bus to the track. As Wallen and Lil Durk’s “Broadway Girls” plays, he stops to give his fiancée a kiss, pauses to sign a document, gives her a high five, grabs his sunglasses and then walks out.
There he was met by viral TikTok signee Tayler Holder, singer-songwriter Dylan Schneider and more. They exchange high fives and fist bumps and the group continues to follow Hamlin as he heads to his car, cheering him on along the way.
Hamlin’s reenactment of Wallen’s walkout caught the attention of a few country stars, including Michael Ray, who commented, “Hahaha. Get that 🏁,” and Chris Lane, who told him, “Haha get them dude 🤘🏻.”
It seems like the strike was almost a good luck charm for Hamlin because he was in the lead with less than five laps to go, however, unfortunately things took a turn and he finished in 12th place. Impressively, Hamlin led for 70 laps of the race.
In the end, Joey Logano emerged victorious from the Ally 400.
HARDY appeared in the Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series as the Grand Marshal, while Luke Combs joined the fun as the honorary pace car driver. Sierra Ferrell was present to sing the National Anthem.
Wallen’s infamous “Broadway Girls” walkout began with the stadium run of his One Night At A Time world tour. Each night, fans inside the venue can watch him walk from his dressing room to the stage to the tune of “Broadway Girls.” He’s also previously welcomed special guests to the walkout, including Theo Von, Pat McAfee, Moneybagg Yo and more.
