UCF men’s basketball coach Johnny Dawkins will continue with the program at least through the 2026-27 season, UCF Athletics announced Friday. “We had some success in our first season in the Big 12 and I’m excited to continue building on that in the future,” Dawkins said in a statement. “This is a special place for my family, and I have loved coaching UCF from day one. I will always put all my heart into this University.” The Knights are coming off their first season in the Big 12, where they earned eight wins against conference opponents. UCF also posted three wins against ranked opponents, the most in a single season in program history, following a victory against No. 3 Kansas, No. 23 Oklahoma and No. 23. Texas Tech. Dawkins has also guided the Knights to eight of the program’s 10 wins against ranked opponents.
