Heading into Sunday’s final round of the PGA Championship, there are six players within two strokes of the lead, and none of them are named Scottie Scheffler.
Xander Schauffele (+240) and Collin Morikawa (+260) are tied for the lead at -15 with Sahith Theegala (+600) at -14, and Viktor Hovland (+750), Bryson DeChambeau (+600) and Shane Lowry ( +1200) at -13.
Scheffler shot a round over par for the first time in 266 days (2-over 73) and fell back to -7, putting him at +25000 on DraftKings Sportsbook’s odds board.

Scottie Scheffler’s implosion is something I didn’t see coming on Saturday, but who did? I made one bad play (Scheffler +350) and one good (Collin Morikawa +500) on the adjusted odds board Friday night. Brooks Koepka’s disappearance was disappointing and my chances of winning are diminishing. With so many players who could win, it’s a bad idea to start spreading hedge bets all over the board because you can’t cover everything and you can get burned.
It’s going to be a wild Sunday and I’ll probably take part in live betting if I have to. Aside from Morikawa, I have pre-tournament shots with Bryson DeChambeau (28-1) and Justin Thomas (54-1), who needs a miracle. I have no idea how this tournament will play out and have nothing to recommend more than the Knicks (-130) over the Pacers.

While reviews of Valhalla Golf Club have been mixed, with the course playing easier than anticipated, it has produced an outstanding leaderboard heading into Sunday’s final round of the PGA Championship.
Xander Schauffele (+240) still has the lead, as he always has, but he now has company after 54 holes with Collin Morikawa (+260) also at 15 under. Schauffele managed to make no mistakes until the 15th hole, where he made double bogey, just his second over-par hole of the tournament. He still leads the Greens In Regulation field with 83.3%, having hit 45 of 54 greens.
Sahith Theegala (+650) recovered from two bogeys on the front nine and shot 6 under on his final 10 holes to score 14 under.
Theegala will be paired with Shane Lowry (12/1), who matched Schauffele’s round of 62 on Thursday, courtesy of the best round of putting of his career, where he gained +5.54 strokes with the flat club on Saturday.
Then there’s Bryson DeChambeau (6/1), who chipped in for eagle on the par-5 18th to get within two of the lead at 13 under. Despite losing -1.62 strokes on approach in Saturday’s third round, Bryson was 8-for-9 for Scrambling and will be in the mix on Sunday if his iron play returns to the form he had during the first two days. .
Viktor Hovland’s (7/1) game was seemingly lost all season, but he met with swing coach Joe Mayo, and that apparently woke him up from his slump. He is 13 under par along with DeChambeau and Lowry and is just two shots off the lead.
13 players are within five shots of the lead, and we saw some low rounds on Saturday with Lowry shooting 62 and Justin Rose (35/1), his playing partner, shooting 64, so a lot can happen tomorrow.
I’m standing with Bryson DeChambeau at 28/1 pre-tournament. That chip-in at age 18 could end up being the winning moment of this championship.

An exciting third round of the PGA Championship leaves us with a packed leaderboard heading into Sunday. Xander Schauffle’s stumble at 15 on Saturday put many more names in contention and allowed Collin Morikawa to tie him for the lead. Just two shots behind is Shane Lowry, who tied a major record with rounds of 62.
This tournament is on the line and while there is immense talent at the top, I have some concerns with almost all of the golfers. So screw it, it’s called LONG SHOTS, so I’ll add one more little straight shot heading into Sunday and take a 150-1 shot against Tony Finau. He was someone I liked and bet on in other incoming markets, and his irons have been absolutely tight, his putting seems solid, he’s just fighting off the tee, which is usually the strongest part of his game . I already have some pre-tournament Top 10s on him at +500, but I’d also recommend him at the current odds.
I’m also betting Justin Thomas Top 10 at +110. His return to his home state clearly means a lot to him. In fact, he is leading the field in SG:T2G. I find it hard to believe that he will leave that area of the Top 10.
As for fourth round matchups, only one for me so far. I bet Kurt Kitayama +115 > Will Zalatoris. I liked Kitayama before the tournament, he’s been playing decent, but it’s Zalatoris that I’m looking to fade a little bit because he’s really riding a hot putter and not much else has been great.
