Penn State Tweets of the Day
We start with a look at the best incoming classes in college football. Keynote USA combined the Class of 2024 signees and transfer additions to make their rankings. Texas, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Miami and Oregon round out the top five. Penn State didn’t make it into that group, nor into the top 10. But he did break into the top 25, ranking 21st overall.
“Penn State may seem like an odd addition to this list at first glance.” Craig Haubert and Billy Tucker write. “The Nittany Lions were not overly active adding prospects in the portal and their freshmen may have limited first-year production. However, it’s not about quantity. “They added enough impact players to ensure they are part of the mix in the expanded playoff race and in an increasingly competitive Big Ten.”
The duo especially highlighted what the lineman cooper cousins and running back Quinton Martin bring to the table. Regarding transfers, it goes without saying that the recipient Julian Fleming tops the list.
“Fleming alone could dictate the success of Penn State’s transfer class,” Haubert and Tucker write. “Fleming, a five-star in 2020, can justify including him on this list by realizing his potential and taking advantage of his impressive combination of size, speed and body control. Fleming never broke through a group of talented receivers at Ohio State. He is now back in his home state and is prepared to take on a number one role at a position of need. He has breakthrough potential, but could hamper Penn State’s playoff hopes if he fails to produce.
“A highly ranked 2023 prospect, AJ Harris is a great addition to the secondary. Time is on his side, but he could be an out-of-the-box addition. “Nolan Rucci has experience within the conference and will help fill the void up front after multiple departures from the NFL.”

Quote of the day
“They’ve been on me for a long time, so honestly, it’s been a lot of the same. We continue to build our relationship. We’ve been talking two or three times a week and it’s been great. I can’t wait to get back there and see what it’s really about. I think I have a good idea of Penn State, but I want to try to get an even better idea before I commit.”
