For the first time, the NBA Draft has an overnight break. The first round took place on Wednesday and 30 players found new homes at the next level. Round 2 begins on Thursday, June 27 at 4:00 pm ET, where 28 more players will be selected.
Two of those players were sitting in the Green Room on Wednesday, waiting and (probably) hoping to hear their name called before the day was over. But neither Duke forward Kyle Filipowski nor Kansas freshman wing Johnny Furphy were selected, two of the biggest surprises on the first day of the draft.
They aren’t the only college basketball stars who spent a restless night waiting to see where they’ll end up on Thursday.
