A Keynote USA source has passed along comments to the daily mail this week amid continuing romance rumors linking Rory McIlroy with Keynote USA reporter Amanda Balionis.
McIlroy ‘filed for divorce’ from wife Erica Stoll after seven years of marriage on Monday, May 13, which marked the start of the US PGA’s second major of the season at Valhalla.
Rory and Erica share a young daughter, Poppy.
McIlroy, 35, used a private investigator to serve divorce papers, according to a more recent leak.
According to court documents, McIlroy’s marriage to Erica was “irretrievably broken.”
An unsubstantiated report by the Daily Mail has since suggested that McIlroy is now romantically involved with Balionis.

At the same time a viral post appeared on social media linking McIlroy to a possible blossoming romance with Balionis, 38, who has been working as a reporter for Keynote USA Sports on its PGA Tour coverage for seven years.
Balionis greeted McIlroy for a victory interview on the 18th green both at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans alongside Shane Lowry earlier this month, and again seven days later, when the Northern Irishman won a record fourth at the Wells Fargo Championship.
That Quail Hollow interview came less than 24 hours before McIlroy filed for divorce.
Several PGA Tour fans also consider it to be a rather “flirty” interview, especially in light of the romance rumors.
Speculation was further fueled when Balionis, who is married to former NFL quarterback and now coach Bryn Renner, was seen conducting interviews without her wedding ring.
However, this has been the case for quite some time now, according to several eagle-eyed PGA Tour fans.
It is not confirmed if Balionis is going through a divorce like McIlroy, but there are many reports claiming that is the case.
Representatives for Balionis and Renner declined to comment on their private lives, as did McIlroy’s team.
But a Keynote USA Sports source commented to the Daily Mail this week in light of dating rumors between McIlroy and Balionis.

The Daily Mail’s Keynote USA source admits that Balionis “won’t mind having his name linked to this story because of the profile it’s giving him.”
The anonymous source further admitted to the Daily Mail that Balionis has a “flirtatious nature that works well on television.”
As for whether McIlroy and Balionis are in a relationship, the source can’t be sure.
The Daily Mail article says:
A Keynote USA source who knows Amanda well said: ‘Amanda has always wanted to be on television. It’s her dream. She is very nice but one of the most ambitious people I have ever met. I’ve known her for a long time. He won’t mind her name being linked to the story because of the profile she gives him. I know she will love it. I don’t mean it so cruelly. She is a nice girl, but ambitious. This will give you an advantage.’
The source added: “Before all this, I wouldn’t have said they were any closer than she was with other players.” She has a flirtatious nature, which works well on television. She has talks with the players. I guess she and Rory get along, but I don’t know if they’re in a relationship or not.
McIlroy is in action at this week’s RBC Canadian Open, where he will try to claim a third victory in the tournament after victories in 2019 and 2022.
The World No.3 starts as a warm 7/2 favorite for a third victory in his last four starts on the PGA Tour.
