Antonio Brown is broke.
The controversial and erratic former NFL wide receiver filed for federal bankruptcy in Florida on Monday and owes nearly $3 million to eight creditors, according to a Times Union report.
The former owner of the Albany Empire Arena Football League team is unable to pay at least three six-figure civil judgments.

That includes $1.2 million awarded to truck driver Anton Tumanov, whom Brown allegedly assaulted, after the trustee failed to appear in court for the case in 2022, according to the court filing obtained by the Times Union.
The 35-year-old, who played for the Steelers, Raiders, Buccaneers and Patriots, also owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in credit card debt and $296 to a local plumber.

Brown earned $80.7 million during his 12-year NFL career, according to Spotrac.
He filed for Chapter 11, which allows him to reorganize his finances while protecting them from creditors.

Another of Brown’s creditors listed Avanti Solutions for $28,589 after the company sued him for allegedly failing to pay them for work they did for his appearance at the “Rolling Loud” hip-hop concert in March 2023.
The fact that Brown appears to be struggling financially is nothing new.
He was arrested in October for alleged failure to pay child support.

His ownership of the Albany Empire lasted three months.
The club was expelled from the league after Brown failed to pay operating costs and players and coaches threatened to sue him after he withdrew checks from the final game from their bank accounts.
The Steelers’ 2010 sixth-round pick is a four-time All-Pro who recorded 12,291 yards and 83 touchdowns during his NFL tenure.
He won a Super Bowl with the Tom Brady-led Buccaneers during the 2020 season.
Brown’s career ended strangely a year later, when he abruptly left the bench during a game against the Jets, during which he was playing with an ankle injury, tore off his jersey and pads and ran out of MetLife Stadium.
