Travis Kelce has three Super Bowl rings, but it’s another accessory that has his fans excited to celebrate.
Last July, the Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, gave out friendship bracelets to fellow NFL players at his Tight End University in a nod to Taylor Swift, and just weeks later, he professed his interest in the pop superstar on his New Heights podcast.
“It’s my third year here at Tight End University,” Kelce says in a video from a fan account on X (formerly Twitter). “I thought what better way to welcome the kids back than with friendship bracelets, following Taylor Swift’s example.”
On an episode of his podcast with his brother Jason Kelce on July 26, Travis joked about how he tried to give Swift his phone number before a stop on her Eras Tour concert a few weeks earlier on July 8. However, Travis revealed that he wasn’t able to talk to her because he was told she was saving her voice for the show.
“I was disappointed that she didn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings, so I was a little bummed that I couldn’t give her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Travis said at the time. “She doesn’t know anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personally.”
Just weeks later, Swift, 34, was publicly linked to the Chiefs star when she attended a game at Arrowhead Stadium.
“Shout out to Taylor for coming. She was very brave,” Travis later said on his podcast while speaking to his brother about how it felt to have the singer in his suite during the “exciting game.”

“I thought it was amazing that everyone in the suite had nothing but good things to say about her, both friends and family. She looked amazing and everyone spoke highly of her,” he said, adding that the icing on the cake was that “the day was perfect for Chiefs fans, of course,” noting their 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears.
A week later, the team had a little fun with the rumored relationship by posting a TikTok video of Chiefs players exchanging friendship bracelets.
“This is something my little sister would give me,” defensive tackle Chris Jones joked, while other players like cornerback L’Jarius Sneed and wide receiver Rashee Rice accepted the accessory with open arms.
However, when Kelce was presented with one that said “Killa Trav,” he smiled and said, “I know what these are about.”
