Only two Packers, Love and Alexander, made Prisco’s Top 100 list. Bulletin board material?
No offense to Pete Prisco, but I doubt more than a few, if any, players in that current locker room know who he is, so I doubt they care.
Are game uniforms washed and reused for the next game as long as they are not torn or damaged, or does each player wear a new uniform each week?
They are washed and damaged uniforms are repaired by the seamstress team if possible.
After the Draft, when we learned that Enagbare had not needed ACL surgery, Gutekunst seemed proud that he had kept that information a secret. Why was he proud of that?
I suspect it was because it made other teams believe the Packers would be more interested in landing another defender during free agency and/or the draft than they actually were. As long as you can distract your opponents from your true intentions, that could work in your favor.
I love how the media talks about the Packers making a costly mistake by not already completing JL10’s contract extension. As if there weren’t two parties at the table? I’d be surprised if Love’s agency wasn’t well aware that the other QBs were re-signed this offseason. Both parties must be happy, and that is the key. Love needs to feel like the Packers care enough to be patient while situations in other cities develop, if that’s part of the equation for him. It is done when it is done.
Oh, they are very aware. Very aware.
The consternation over QB contracts as a percentage of the salary cap is overblown. If you have a franchise-level QB on a non-rookie contract, there is a strong consensus on the value of that player. So for years it was 10%, now it’s 20%. Honestly, it doesn’t matter. If most teams are paying him, then the playing field is level. As soon as some team finds a different way to build a team/strategy/salary cap allocation that works, others will copy it. For now, your options are to draft a rookie or pay a franchise QB.

Reading through last Friday’s inbox, New Orleans’ Mike’s question about players who eventually became interview stars reminded me of a Jason Wilde story about Tramon Williams. One time, as a rookie, he was being interviewed by Tim Van Vooren and apparently Tramon was so inexperienced that he took the microphone out of TVV’s hand every time he answered a question and handed it back to him for another question. It’s one of the funniest locker room stories I’ve ever heard. Tramon is an absolute treasure.
Which loss is more heartbreaking for a team: losing the final game of the season and missing the playoffs, losing the NFC/AFC Championship Game, or losing the Super Bowl?
The first option is third. I think losing the conference title game is the most heartbreaking for fans, but losing the Super Bowl is the hardest for players and coaches.
Thursday’s Inbox chat about the strength of the offense in carrying the team early got me thinking. Aaron Jones was a catalyst that elevated the entire offense. When he was off the field due to injury, the impact was undeniable. I’m excited to see what Josh Jacobs can do, but I’m worried we’ve lost the piece that made the sum greater than the parts.
It’s an understandable reaction/concern, but a new era has arrived in the Packers backfield and it’s up to everyone involved to keep the offense on its current trajectory. LaFleur and his staff might have helped maximize Jones’ abilities more than any other player to date, but they will just be getting started with Jacobs as a group of young receivers and tight ends begins to develop. There is a lot of evolution ahead.
Would you take the over or under with 9.5 wins for the Packers this season?
Gambling is still illegal in Bushwood, but I would do it without hesitation.
General Manager Mike. Please let Hodster know that there is also a site in Weston, Connecticut. If you want, I can go there and post something from my phone.

So now it’s PICKLED asparagus. She had never seen the pickled part before. That changes everything. Pickling can mask the flavor of the asparagus, and if it is freshly packaged, it may not be messy. I’m retracting my previous review until I’ve tried the pickled asparagus (which may never happen and I guarantee it won’t be in a sausage).
I have no interest in retracting my previous review.

I just want to say thank God that Randall Cobb and his family are okay after the events earlier this week. He may not be a Packer right now, but I always liked him and knew what to expect each week when he was there for us.
Thank God, really. What a scary situation, and I’m glad no one was physically hurt. I wish the Cobbs all the best.

A sentiment shared by many about any team named “St. Louis Cardinals.”

What is your favorite part of your job as a Packers reporter?
Game day. For me, that’s what all the rest of the job is for: to convey in real time, and immediately afterwards, to the favorite team of a large audience, the why and the how of what is happening in the moments that matter most.
