CLUB QUOTES
John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the number 42 Massey Motor Freight Toyota Camry XSE:
“Nashville (Superspeedway) is a concrete intermediate track that is different than anywhere else we go. It is a great place because it is close to the city and is in a different market that we can cover. “I’ve had decent results here the last two years, but it’s still a place where I need to learn and improve.”
Ben Beshore, crew chief for the No. 42 Massey Motor Freight Toyota Camry XSE:
“The team is very professional in doing their job every week putting out the best car possible; sometimes circumstances don’t work out, but fortunately last weekend in New Hampshire they did, and hopefully we can build that momentum in Nashville and move forward.” . go ahead and build a good streak. Obviously, in the end there were a series of strange circumstances in New Hampshire, but that fight to get out of two laps down and reach the top 10 in the last 70 laps, requires a special group to achieve it; I am very proud of everyone on the team. and make that effort and not give up after the rain delay and keep going and make the most of the day.”
Erik Jones, driver of the #43 Family Dollar Toyota Camry XSE:
“Nashville has been fun. This will be the fourth year since we’ve been back (the NASCAR Cup Series), and I’ve really enjoyed racing there every year. The track has been widened quite a bit from what it used to be. We’ve also run well there the last few years; I think we finished eighth last summer and hopefully we can come back and have a similar weekend and move towards the top 10. I’m excited to get there, it’s been a great track but also a great crowd and a great area to race in the last four years.”
Dave Elenz, crew chief of the 43rd Toyota Camry XSE of the Dollar family:
“We had a good car last year (at Nashville Superspeedway); We know what it takes to get around and hopefully some of the efforts we put in will pay off for Nashville too… Nashville is a little similar to Dover, but it’s its own race track, so the tires are They apply more than anything to Nashville so we can reuse some of the things we did in Dover and felt like we had a good car there too. Between that and our past history, hopefully we can find a good setup for that.”
